Edmonds Driftwood Players (EDP) is an award-winning, volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theatre that has been entertaining, educating, and enriching the King and Snohomish county communities since 1958, making it one of the oldest continually operating community theatres in Washington State. In November 2018, ARTSWA selected the downtown area of the City of Edmonds as Washington State’s first Certified Creative District, and EDP is proud to be the Certified Creative District’s venue for live theatre.
Edmonds Driftwood Players (EDP) would love to meet you and hear your vision for our 2024/2025 mainstage shows! We are in residence at the Wade James Theatre in Edmonds, Washington and are a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theater. We are proud to be celebrating 66 years of entertaining our community, making us one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in Washington State.

Our annual Festival of Shorts is a great way for playwrights to present work to an enthusiastic audience. Hundreds of playwrights submit their plays and eight scripts are chosen to be performed over the highly popular weekend-long festival. Sign up to receive notification when we post our call for unpublished short (10-12 minutes in length) scripts.
