Our volunteers are an essential part of the Edmonds Driftwood Players community who, through their time and talents, assist in its productions. We are looking for people to join us for an amazing season as ushers, painters, builders, board operators, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign-up for the next orientation.
The monthly Volunteer Orientation meeting is the perfect way to become introduced to Edmonds Driftwood Players. You will hear a little about our history and our mission, then you will get a tour of the theatre including a peek “behind the scenes”. We conclude your visit with an explanation of our exciting current season and how you can get involved!
Orientation is normally held the second Monday of every month at 7:00pm in the lobby of the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St Edmonds, WA. Please sign up using the link below, so that we know to expect you! If you need to cancel, just use the ‘Contact Us’ button to let us know.

We are always looking to add more Costumers to our volunteer pool! If the below opportunity isn’t a great fit, join us for a volunteer orientation and we’ll make sure you receive future notices about open costuming positions and costume shop support.
Auditions are coming up for Paul Slade Smith’s Unnecessary Farce and we are looking to fill the Costume Designer role on our production team. The production will begin rehearsals April 3 and performances are May 26-June 11. This show features 7 actors with a few costume changes, and we are going for a 70’s look.
There is a volunteer stipend of $300 for this position. You will also receive two comp tickets and a discount code for additional tickets (that you can share with your friends and family). You may also fill the Wardrobe Manager role (costume cleaning) for an additional $100 stipend, or we will find a volunteer to support you. Costume Designers will have access to our Costume Shop and inventory and an additional budget for purchases.
If you would like more information about this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you! Please email: [email protected]. We can connect you with our director (David Alan Morrison), provide a script to peruse, or connect you with our volunteer costume shop manager to learn more about our stock.
We regularly seek experienced directors for our Mainstage productions and annual Festival of Shorts. Sign up to receive notification of our call for directors.
