2023 4th of July Parade

Hello Friends of the Edmonds Driftwood Players,

We would like you to join us for the Edmonds 4th of July Parade, put on by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. This is a fun opportunity for us to all get together and show our love of theatre to the Edmonds community!

There are multiple ways to get involved, and we would really love your help!

• Help plan/design EDP’s parade theme!
  • The parade planning meeting will happen the week of June 12 (specific date/time TBD). Last year, we had a “Christmas in July” theme to promote our holiday show Elf-The Musical. We have some great shows coming up next season that we could have a lot of fun with! Our Season 65 shows will be announced ahead of the planning meeting.
• Help craft the parade design once it’s finalized
  • The Parade crafting party will happen the week of June 26 (specific date/time TBD)
• Donate candy for EDP to hand out at the parade
  • Candy needs to be individually wrapped, and we would need candy donations to be dropped off to the EDP Annex (200 Dayton St.) by June 30
• We would love a vehicle to decorate and drive in the parade
• Walk in the parade with EDP on July 4!
  • On July 4, we will meet at the theatre parking lot (950 Main St) at 10am. We will walk to the starting area together at 10:30am. The parade begins at 12:00pm and will be over by 2:00pm. The parade route is about 9/10th of a mile.

We need at least 10 volunteers and as many as 50 to walk with us and show our theatre spirit as we remind the community that the Edmonds Driftwood Players are happily making great theater just right up the street. Bring the family and come join the fun! Kids are very welcome – the more the merrier!
