Our volunteers are an essential part of the Edmonds Driftwood Players community who, through their time and talents, assist in its productions. We are looking for people to join us for an amazing season as ushers, painters, builders, board operators, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign-up for the next orientation.
Missoula Children’s Theatre is coming to Edmonds (hosted by Edmonds Driftwood Players) August 11-15 (performances on August 16)!
Camp can host up to 64 students (60 actors + 4 assistant directors) including campers entering 1st grade through 12th grade. Not all campers are required for every rehearsal (the days are split into two rehearsal periods with lunch between them), but campers will remain on-site for the entire day so we need to provide activities! We are seeking a support team (2-4 volunteers) to brainstorm some fun activities, coordinate any supply needs with the staff, and work with campers during those downtimes. These will mostly be table-based activities (making costume masks, coloring worksheets, etc.) or a physical/mime activity that can be contained to a smaller space so they won’t be interrupting the main rehearsals.
Camp is held between the hours of 10:00am and 3:30pm. Each days’ schedule differs a bit as far as who is involved in what activity, and we will be able to provide more details as we get closer and coordinate with MCT. We are thinking we mostly need support that Monday-Wednesday (small chance of Thursday). Volunteers must be 16+ and be willing to have a WSP background check performed. Each volunteer will receive at least $100 stipend to offset travel costs associated with volunteering.
Please contact Katie Soule, Managing Director of Edmonds Driftwood Players, at [email protected] for more information or to confirm your interest.
The monthly Volunteer Orientation meeting is the perfect way to become introduced to Edmonds Driftwood Players. You will hear a little about our history and our mission, then you will get a tour of the theatre including a peek “behind the scenes”. We conclude your visit with an explanation of our exciting current season and how you can get involved!
Orientations are held the third Monday of every month at 7:00pm in the lobby of the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St Edmonds, WA. Please click the “Sign Up” button below, so that we know to expect you! If you need to cancel, just use the ‘Contact Us’ button to let us know.
We regularly seek experienced directors for our Mainstage productions and annual Festival of Shorts. Sign up to receive notification of our call for directors.
