VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART OF COMMUNITY THEATRE

Our volunteers are an essential part of the Edmonds Driftwood Players community who, through their time and talents, assist in its productions. We are looking for people to join us for an amazing season as ushers, painters, builders, board operators, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign-up for the next orientation.

Monthly Volunteer Orientation

The monthly Volunteer Orientation meeting is the perfect way to become introduced to Edmonds Driftwood Players. You will hear a little about our history and our mission, then you will get a tour of the theatre including a peek “behind the scenes”. We conclude your visit with an explanation of our exciting current season and how you can get involved!

Orientations are held the third Monday of every month at 7:00pm in the lobby of the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St Edmonds, WA. Please click the “Sign Up” button below, so that we know to expect you! If you need to cancel, just use the ‘Contact Us’ button to let us know.

The Facilities and Technology Committee manages the maintenance of the buildings we occupy (Wade James Theater and Rehearsal Annex), as well as the technology needs of EDP. In partnership with EDP Staff, this Committee manages efforts to update, improve, and support our facilities. We are looking for people with skills in project management, handy-person or construction, and technology management. The expected time commitment is a minimum of a one-hour meeting per month. If you are interested, please reach out to Jim Hendrickson at [email protected].

The Resource Development Committee manages EDP’s fundraising efforts, encompassing individual donor appeals, sponsorships, grants, and events. In collaboration with EDP Staff, this Committee identifies opportunities to increase contributed income and develops programs to achieve this goal. We welcome individuals with skills in grant writing and research, event planning, and donor relationship management to join our team. The expected time commitment is a minimum of a one-hour meeting per month.  If you are interested, please reach out to David Ahlvers at [email protected].
