EDP STAFF

KATIE SOULE | Managing Director

Katie Soule has been a volunteer with Edmonds Driftwood Players since 2014, and the Managing Director since July 2018. She earned a Business Administration and Management degree (B.A.) from the University of Washington. Her previous theatre experience includes leading creative drama classes with the ShiningStars program, as well as working with K-8 kiddos at Madrona Children’s Theatre. She has been a producer, stage manager, and assistant director on numerous productions, as well as serving on the EDP Board of Directors. Katie’s passion lies with the coordination and management side of productions, as well as educating about the many technical aspects of theatre for those who prefer to work behind the curtain. She believes there is a place for everyone in theatre.

LAURA MILLER | Business Administrator

Laura Miller

Laura Miller joined Edmonds Driftwood Players in February 2018. Previously, she worked with start-up organizations in human resources, finance, and administration, and led due diligence and integration efforts for multiple successful acquisitions. Laura enjoys spending time with her family, fostering rescue kittens, and attending theatre performances – especially when her kids are on stage!

KIRSTEN RUDDY | Community Engagement Manager

Kirsten Ruddy joined Edmonds Driftwood Players in September 2021. For the last 10 years, Kirsten worked in Sales & Marketing in Pacific Northwest Tourism but her true love lies with the arts and is excited to be a part of the Edmonds Driftwood Players organization. Kirsten grew up in Richmond Beach, but has lived in Edmonds for the last few years. Outside of work, Kirsten enjoys singing with the Seattle Symphony Chorale, reading, traveling, attending live music, and spending time with her friends and family.

BRIAN FLETCHER | Technical Director

Brian Fletcher joined the Edmonds Driftwood Players (EDP) in April 2022. Truth be told, he first walked through the doors of the Wade James Theatre back in 1982 and quickly fell in love with the magic of theatre. At the age of twelve, he joined the EDP Apprentice Program and debuted on-stage the following season as the Bellhop in Born Yesterday.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication and technical theatre from Skidmore College, NY and an Associate in Arts degree in media communication & technology from Bellevue College, WA.  He also received certification in project management as well as supervision and management from the University of Washington, Technical Theatre from Shoreline College, WA, and completed the Broadway Lighting Master Class in New York, NY.

As a practicing theater artist over the past four decades, Brian has worn many hats in both regional and community theatre settings (e.g., actor, stage manager, scenic designer, lighting designer, sound designer, producer, etc.). Prior to joining EDP, he was the Director of Information Technology Services at the University of Washington Bothell where he served for twenty-three years. Having raised two sons here in the PNW, his world has come full-circle; returning to his first love–the art of storytelling through the many aspects of live theatre.
