Exposure to the arts is an important part of a well-rounded education. Sadly, many children don’t get such exposure, with arts having disappeared from many schools. Most shelter kids have never seen a live performance. Our program reaches out to at-risk youth and their families who are living in shelters and transitional housing and introduces them to live theater and ways it can enrich their lives.
Our program works by hosting on-site creative workshops at shelter locations, providing enrollment fees for our camps/classes and, when possible, providing tickets to live performances.
