Spring Break Camp for 8 – 11 year old students runs April 3 – 7 from 10 – 3pm (Edmonds School District spring break dates).
This is a sequential, dynamic exploration of the wonderful world of acting with the aim of supporting students’ development of basic skills, confidence, empathy, and social connections. This weeklong camp will introduce students to acting for stage and screen. Students will learn about auditions, character development, stage direction, projection, and use of the body as an instrument. This is an incredible opportunity for youth who have an affinity for acting, love to play, are looking to develop social skills, and want to become part of a supportive community to make wonderful friends and memories. The course will culminate with a very special one time only performance, showcasing the hard work these actors and actresses did throughout their time in class. This course is ideal for beginner to intermediate students, although all experiences are more than welcome.
Cost for entire week: $200 per student
Spring break camp will be held in the lobby of the Wade James Theatre and includes a special screening of Free Boy performed by Adventure Musical Theatre from 5th AVE Theatre. For more information about this special event, please contact the EDP admin. office.
